The Crandon Park Zoo on Key Biscayne was Miami’s original zoo, battered by Hurricane Betsy in 1965 and closed in 1980 when its animals moved to the new Metro Zoo (today’s Zoo Miami). It ran mold machines as part of south Florida’s dense 1960s-70s circuit.
