Chris’ Seafood Restaurant operated from 1932 to 1972 at the base of the 9th Street bridge in Ocean City, New Jersey, serving fish caught by its own fleet. Its star attraction was the Flying Saucer, a 75-foot surplus WWII PT boat that carried 125 passengers and was billed as the world’s fastest regularly scheduled motorboat ride.
A Mold-A-Rama machine stood under cover in the dock area in the early 1960s, vending a souvenir of the Flying Saucer for about a quarter.
