About Florida's Turnpike Service Plazas

For decades, Mold-A-Matic machines greeted travelers at the service plazas along Florida’s Turnpike, vending souvenirs including the Sailfish, Octopus, a clown, and a dolphin. Several original 25¢ plexiglass backglasses survive.

The machines were removed from the turnpike plazas in December 1987.
