Atlantic City’s Steel Pier was famous for its diving horse act, in which horse and rider plunged from a high platform into a tank of water, a boardwalk spectacle that ran from the 1920s into the 1970s.
A Mold-A-Rama machine vended a Diving Horse souvenir here in 1963; the figure even includes a sailboat in its background, matching the pier’s vintage postcards. The moldset was later re-engraved for Griffith Park, but a second copy engraved "STEEL PIER" confirms its origin.
