Shoe Palace is a footwear and streetwear retailer founded by the Mersho family in San Jose in 1993, growing from a single store near Stevens Creek Boulevard and South Bascom Avenue into a national chain. In 2019 the company marked its 25th anniversary with a run of celebrations and brand collaborations.
For the anniversary activation — a promotional party with Converse — a Mold-A-Rama machine pressed a special Converse boombox figure, a nod to the boombox-themed Chuck 70 "Boom Box" pack the two brands had released. The one-off promotional figure was only available at the event.
